IRG206 (As₄₀Se₆₀): Most commonly used, main choice for automotive/security, Tg≈180°C, long-term ≤150°C.
Infrared transmittance: Uncoated 60%–70%; after HD/AR coating 92%–97% (single side ≥94.5%).
Refractive index (@10 μm): 2.5–2.8 (IRG206≈2.778), higher than ZnS/ZnSe, making lenses lighter and thinner.
Thermo-optic coefficient (dn/dT): 30–40×10⁻⁶/°C, making athermal designs easy to achieve (−40°C–60°C).
Hardness / wear resistance: Soft substrate (Mohs ~2), coating required; HD coating is hard and scratch-resistant.
Main Application Scenarios
In-vehicle Night Vision: ADAS, nighttime driving assistance (mainly IRG206).
Security Monitoring: Outdoor thermal imagers, perimeter alert, forest fire prevention.
Industrial Temperature Measurement: High-temperature furnaces, power inspection, equipment fault detection.
Consumer Electronics: Mobile phone thermal imaging modules, DIY thermal imagers.
High-end / Military: IRG201 used for airborne, electro-optical pods, high-temperature environments.
8-12um transmittance >94%, 8-14um transmittance greater than 88%.
