Sapphire protective window

Sapphire protective window is a transparent optical component made of synthetic sapphire (alpha-alumina), featuring the following properties: 1. Ultra-high hardness: It scores 9 on the Mohs hardness scale, second only to diamond. It resists daily scratches, abrasion and impact, and can be used in harsh environments. 2. Broad-spectrum light transmittance: It boasts high transmittance ranging from ultraviolet (200nm) to mid-infrared (5μm). Its visible light transmittance exceeds 85%, and can reach 99.8% after coating, meeting diverse optical application requirements. 3. High temperature resistance and corrosion resistance: With a melting point of 2050℃, it operates stably at temperatures above 1000℃, and shows strong resistance to acids, alkalis and most chemical media. 4. Robust structure: Its compressive strength exceeds 2GPa. It withstands high pressure, vacuum and drastic temperature differences, suitable for extreme environments such as aerospace and industrial high-pressure equipment.  Widely applied in consumer electronics including mobile phone camera covers and smart watch lenses, industrial inspection, military equipment and medical instruments, sapphire protective windows serve as core parts to shield optical systems from environmental damage.
