Triangular Prism

A triangular prism is an optical component with a triangular cross-section, usually made of optical materials such as glass, crystal or transparent plastic. By applying the principles of light refraction and total internal reflection, it can deflect light rays and split compound light like white light into monochromatic lights of different colors, a phenomenon known as dispersion. Triangular prisms are widely used in the optical field, including spectral analysis, optical path adjustment in optical instruments, and strabismus correction in ophthalmic medical treatment.
