Combining color prism X-Cube

The X-Cube, a type of color-combining prism, is an important optical component composed of four coated isosceles right triangular prisms bonded together to form a square prism. It has both dispersion and combination functions: when white light enters through any of its light-transmitting faces, it emits red, green, and blue primary color lights from the remaining three light-transmitting faces (dispersion). Conversely, if red, green, and blue primary lights enter through three light-transmitting faces, white light will exit from the remaining face (combination). The X-Cube is widely used in projection systems, liquid crystal displays, and other fields as a key component for forming color images. Its performance directly affects the color reproduction accuracy and image quality of optical systems.
