IRG205 is a thermal imaging lens material based on chalcogenide glass, with its main composition being Ge₂₈Se₆₀Sb₁₂. It boasts the following characteristics:
Broad-band transmittance: It features high infrared transmittance within the wavelength range of 0.5-17μm, covering the commonly used atmospheric windows of mid-wave infrared (3-5μm) and long-wave infrared (8-12μm), making it suitable for various thermal imaging application scenarios.
Low temperature coefficient of refractive index: Its refractive index is barely affected by temperature fluctuations, which can effectively reduce thermal imaging deviation caused by ambient temperature changes. This facilitates the design of athermalized optical systems and improves imaging stability.
Excellent machinability: It can be processed into lenses with complex curved surfaces via precision molding technology, ideal for mass production. It cuts down the manufacturing cost of optical components and meets the demands for lightweight and miniaturized optical systems.
IRG205 lenses are widely applied in UAV thermal imaging, security monitoring, industrial temperature measurement and other fields, especially in scenarios that require high stability of imaging quality
